Trip To Split Window Diner

On Saturday, January 22nd, there were 28 SAC members who made a trip to the Split Window Corvette Diner in Fountain Hills, Arizona, for lunch.  This was SAC's second visit to the Split Window.  The previous visit was made in August, 2004.  The group departed Saddlebrook at 9:30 for the 2 1/2 hour drive north in 14 shiny Vettes and 1 SUV.

Upon arrival, owners Dave and Wendy Jindra greeted us with reserved parking.  Photo's of the members with their cars were then taken, to be later placed on the walls in the diner.

Whether you ordered a C-3, C-5, Z06, or another Split Window specialty, the food was good.  So was the popcorn!  During lunch, prizes were raffled.  After lunch, a group photo was taken.

Before departing Fountain Hills, a visit was made to the lake to view the fountain that shoots upward over 330 feet into the sky.

Another great day in a Corvette!
