Recent Events -

Gamblers Corvette Classic


On March 11th and 12th, eleven Corvettes from our club headed to Laughlin, Nevada, for the 12th annual Gamblers Corvette Classic held at the River Palms.

 

 

After a great drive and a leisurely afternoon, many attended a social gathering that evening for those arriving a day early.

 

 

 

 

Friday, the main group arrived; and, when everyone was counted, there were 587 Corvettes in attendance.

 


    

Friday evening, everyone attended a great show put on by a group called "Hot Lava" that was entertaining and funny.

Saturday morning, many took a drive around the Laughlin countryside to participate in a poker run while others stayed in Laughlin to check out other casinos.  'Sorry to say, no poker winners in our group.  That afternoon, a total of 168 raffle prizes were awarded along with trophies for the Corvettes that the vendors and the casino liked best.  A great time was had by all and a big "Thank You" to Jim and Phyllis Schumm for organizing this event and leading our group to Laughlin.
