Carson City Trip

On July 2nd, twelve Corvettes from SAC headed for Carson City for our Club's longest mystery meal. Our first stop was Lone Pine, California. Then it was off to John & Connie Sparbel's home.

The Sparbels outdid themselves with a full lunch on Saturday, and Bob Lee and a friend supplied the music by
playing their guitars. Sunday afternoon, the group took a cruise around historic Carson City and then it was off to Lake Tahoe and the Evergreen Country Club. That night we enjoyed steak, chicken,
and all the fix-n's at the Sparbel's. A big THANK YOU to John and Connie for the hospitality.

On Monday, members went in different directions. Five couples headed for Yosemite and Sequoia
National Parks. The scenery was awesome and everyone had a ball running some of the roads
in the Parks. One 25 mile long road contained 698 curves which were taken at "somewhat over the speed limit". The group attended a Western BBQ that started with a horse-drawn wagon ride and ended with a sing-a-long around the campfire and the making of smores for dessert.

A trip through Joshua Tree National
Park was the last stop before the ride home. Everyone enjoyed the trip and all look forward to the next "longest mystery meal".
